2005 Mk5 Jetta, 5M, ~170,000 miles. Car has been extremely reliable to this point. Driving on the highway last week, without warning the car stalls, glow plug light flashing, low oil pressure indicator, emissions workshop and other stuff. Oil was 1.5 qts low, due for oil change I hadn't
DIY Difficulty: Easy. 2. Oil leaks. Oil leaks are most common in the 1.8T and the 2.8 V6 B5 Passat engines. Now, this may be a very vague problem, but it does happen to have some serious consequences if ignored. Oil leaks are as it sounds, oil leaking out of the engine when and where it is not supposed to.

VW Golf TDi - VW Golf TDI 1.9 Vs 2.0 - any real difference? - unthrottled : My folks have the 1.9 105. It is considerably less refined than the 2.0 CR and the power/torque figures are obviously lower. I would describe the power is 'adequate' rather than peppy. Thus far no DPF problems have emerged.
Halifax, NS. TDI. 2004 Golf GLS TDI [Malone Stage 2] Feb 11, 2016. #1. Hi all, I am experiencing a boost leak at the turbo end of the hose that runs from the turbo to the intercooler on my BEW TDI. I was under the car the other day and could move the hose 1-2mm where it attaches to the turbo. I then pulled the hose to examine a little further
Hope everyone's cool. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue or can help me out with it. I've got a MK5 Golf - 1.9 TDI 2005. BKC engine. About 6 weeks ago the car had issues starting. The first time it had an issue was a long start with the battery and starter cranking but no start. It worked eventually and no issues after that.
There is a GTB1756 available on a cast manifold which is pretty much bolt on aside from a bit of pipework tweaking. Darkside sell this as a "budget" kit. The PD150 GT1749 is the best literal bolt on upgrade. As said above PD130/150 injectors will see you around 190-200. Don't need to worry about internals.
I have a 2008 Golf mk5 1.9 TDI, with just over 160k miles. For the past year I've had an odd start problem. When the car is left overnight and the fuel level is below 60% then when I turn on the ignition, the engine starts but immediately dies. It runs for maybe a 1/4 of a second. It then takes a lot of cranking to then get it to start.
XdOS.
